My Family

I think it's time to introduce to my new American family two most important girls in my life. My cousin Agnieszka and her daughter, Kamilka. Agnieszka is Uncle Mietek's daughter, she is three years younger than me, and we always have been very close. But especially for the past few years we grew more into our friendship and we no longer call each other cousins, but sisters. We've been through a lot, always there for each other, trying to beat the distance that is seperating us. Thankfully to Skype and Voipstunt, we are in touch almost every day.

Kamilka is the only kid in our Krakow based family. She is 12 year old, going 13. Kamilka has a special place in my heart, as I love her more than I can even explain. She is the sweetest, most loving, selfless, good hearted, and very intelligent girl. I wish I could keep her here, with me, forever!!! I miss them both so much that sometimes my stomach hurts!

On those pictures below Agnieszka is in her apartment, during Christmas Eve, with her Mom (Aunt Stasia, who is Uncle Mietek's wife), Kamilka, and their dog--Shira. Kamilka's biggest dream was to have a dog, but since they live in a tiny apartment, it was a tough decision. Yet, few months ago they got Shira, a half-boxer trouble maker! ;-)

I hope to be able to have them here, with us, for the next summer vacation. Maybe even earlier. That is my dream right now. Beside Grandma, those two are my closest family there. I hope that everybody will meet them one day, as they are part of me, and I am part of them. The three of us are very similar, in sense of humor, in behavior, interests, spontaneity, affection, and we even have the same illnesses and weirdnesses! ;-)

So here it is: Agnieszka and Kamilka--meet the family (including our friends), and family--meet Agnieszka and Kamilka.

Wydaje mi sie ze juz nadszedl czas zebym przedstawila mojej Amerykanskiej rodzinie moje dwie najwazniejsze dziewczynki w moim zyciu. Moja kuzynka Agnieszka, i jej corka Kamilka. Agnieszka jest wujka Mietka corka, trzy lata mlodsza ode mnie, i my zawsze bylysmy bardzo blisko. Ale w ciagu ostatnich lat zwiazalysmy sie jeszcze bardziej i zamiast kuzynkami, teraz nazywamy sie siostrami. Zawsze biegniemy sobie z pomoca, starajac nie myslec o odleglosci ktora nas dzieli. Dzieki Skype and Voipstunt, mozemy byc w kontakcie prawie codziennie.

W trojke jestesmy do siebie bardzo podobne, z poczuciem humoru, z zachowaniem, zainteresowaniami, spontanicznoscia, uczuciami, i my nawet dzielimy te same dziwne choroby i dziwactwa! ;-)

No wiec: Agnieszka i Kamilka--przedstawiam wam rodzine (in przyjaciol), i rodzino--przedstawiam wam Agnieszke i Kamilke.

They are all so beautiful! I can certainly see mischief in Kamilka's eyes! When she smiles her whole face smiles! She is absolutely beautiful, Bea, just like you!

I am so glad that you had such a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I am especially thankful that Jer and Tom and Kathryn were there to celebrate with you. I feel like I already know Tom and Kathryn and I can't wait to meet them. Thanks to both of them for being you family there! I will always feel a closeness to Kathryn as she spells her name exactly like my mom did! sniff!

Love you, my dear and talk to you SOON!

Awww... my sweet Aunt Karen! Thank you for your wonderful comment. I will make sure to translate to my girls what you wrote. :-) And yes, I am extremely lucky to have Kathryn and Tom here. They really have been great parents to me! I didn't know that your mom spelled her name the same way... :-) That's special. I love you! I will see you tomorrow!!! Yeahh!

Thanks for sharing some of your family with us. I know the distance has to be hard, but it's great that you can still keep in touch. I hope they get to come visit soon! Have a safe trip tomorrow!

Beata I can't wait to meet them! I hope you bring them to Quincy to experience the zoo we call a family. I can't wait to see you guys again either. Aunt Jer & Aunt Jane were telling me the good deals that there are with plane tickets, so maybe I can work something out this summer!

Hello Kelly and Jessi, I hope to have both of the girls here sometimes this year and I can't wait for you to meet them. Kamilka speaks fairly good English, but my cousin, Agnieszka, not much at all. I am on her all the time to learn some English! ;-)
Jessi, I would LOVE if you could come over here to visit us!!! I am crossing my fingers! :-)
