Going to Chicago!
Today I am flying to Chicago. I am going to visit Aunt Karen, Uncle Jim, and Frank. I am sooooo excited!!! They bought me the ticket. It was part of Aunt Karen's Christmas presents from Uncle Jim, but I feel like I am the one who got the present! :-) I missed them so much and I can't wait to finally see them all. It will be wonderful! I told Aunt Karen to do the magic dance, so we can get some snow. I am not sure if she did it right... ;-) Well, the most important is that we will be able to spend four days together. I am already packed and in three hours Rob and Mom are taking me to the airport. Yeaahhh!!!

Won't be long and we'll be driving to the Raleigh airport. I'm happy and sad at the same time.

Thanks so much for sharing Beata with us for the weekend. I wish you could all be here! I promise that we will take very good care of her. Dad is really looking forward to it. He has had such a rough time since mom died and has been so sad. It was so nice to see him actually looking forward to something. Plus Monday January 8th is his 65th birthday and he is devastated to not have mom here with him for that milestone.
My wonderful husband was so nice to do this for me. He kept asking me what I wanted for Christmas and the only thing that came to mind was "I want my Mom". So he thought this would be a nice treat and something for us all to look forward to. I was thrilled when Beata said she would love to come visit. So, we will be thinking of all of you and wishing you were here with us.
By the way, Jer, Dad wanted me to tell you he is very depressed. He hasn't had 1 widow or single lady try to hit on him yet! (Jer told Dad that with Mom being gone he was going to be in high demand as a widower and he would have women calling him left and right.!) He thought you would get a kick out of that and he wanted me to tell you.
Crap. I'm really sorry. Just tell him to be patient. :)
