Getting settled

We just found out that on Friday we will get our shipment from Japan!!! Yeah! We are very excited to finally set up the house the way we need it and want it. Although sleeping on a mattress feels great, we miss our king size bed. And the blankets, and the pillows, and the dishes, and our clothes, and shoes, and... ok, you got it! :-)
Yesterday, we got an alarm installed at the house. This is a very safe area, especially because it is a gated community, but I know that I am going to feel much better if Rob gets deployed and I have to stay all by myself in this big house. So, it's all done! (It's not like I can count on Bobby's protection--that lovey boy!)
The weather had been great, even with few cool and rainy days. We were spoiled in Okinawa by the warm weather, all year around, and now even a little of cool wind makes us shiver. I know, that's pathetic. But it will pass... We are slowly getting used to the weather and are excited about having four seasons again. Luckily we are south, and it's warmer here, so it's not that much of a weather shock for us.
The pets are doing good, loving the house and all the space they have. Bella is chasing the cats all over the place and all of them seem to be back in their routine. They even forgot about how great it was in Quincy! ;-) (just kidding)
I am still looking for job. Actually, now I am waiting for any phone calls, emails, or other forms of contact, since I've put a few applications out in different places. I also applied at the Special Forces school of foreign languages. They might soon need a Russian language instructor, so I am waiting and hoping to get it. I also have different jobs lined up around the area, as both Rob and I don't want me to drive to far to work. Because of the distance, I am kind of limited with jobs. Everything seems to be in Raleigh, or Durham, but that's about over one hour drive during normal hours, one way.
When we get all of the furniture set up, I will take pictures and post it.
There is plenty of "screwers" around here! Aren't they cute???
