Changes!

Since I have good news, today I decided to write in pink (or as close as this comes to pink).
This morning we tried to extend our hotel stay and change the room to a family lodging, where we could have our pets, but instead we found out that we have to leave our room on Saturday! It's been already a month, and that's how much we were allowed to stay here. We could have been able to get a room anyway, but unfortunately they were totally booked.

Shortly after Rob found out the bad news, he ran into his good friend, Chris, and Chris' wife, Tracy. It turned out that they knew a manager at a hotel by the malls in Fayetteville (right across from Starbucks!), so they called her. They must be really good friends because that sweet woman offered us a great discount and... WE CAN HAVE OUR PETS WITH US IN OUR ROOM!!!!! This is far from being a pet-hotel, but she let us do it out of the goodness of her heart. We will check-in to this hotel Friday afternoon, and after we unload the trucks, we are heading for...... QUINCY!!!!! Yes, yes, yes!!!! We are coming to get you guys! All of you--Adi, Billie, Bella, and Bobby. We are just so excited and overwhelmed by everything that had been happening lately. This changes our plans, but is actually turning into something good.

Since Rob has to be back at work Monday morning, we will stay in Quincy only for almost one day. We will arrive about 7-8 am on Saturday, see as many people as we can, kiss and hug the hell out of our babies, eat, have a long nap, and then leave Quincy the same day, at midnight. It's a 16 hours drive, so we need to make sure that we will back in NC on time. This is the best we can do, and we would come earlier, but Rob is working and we also have to move all of our stuff from one hotel to another.

So, our wonderful family, we will see you soon! :-) And our doggies and kitties too! We miss them more than we can even express. It will be wonderful to have our family back together. As hairy as it is... I have to admit that we have been enjoying hair-free clothes, towels, food, drinks, etc., etc. But it's time to get back to normal!
I am excited to see all my sweet uncles, and aunts, and cousins! :-)
We love you guys!

Thank you for dealing with our little trouble makers... and sorry for all that damage they caused. We will thank you every day till we die.... :-)

I'm probably the only one who is sad. You'll all get together, and I'll be thinking, "Gee, they're having fun without me." But I don't envy you the drive. You're young though and everything will go very well. Drive carefully and PLEASE sleep when you can. Love Mom

That is wonderful news! I know you are going to feel much more settled when you have the zoo back with you.

Please be careful driving. Sleep when you can. I wish we could be there, but it doesn't look likely. Call us when you have a chance.

Love, Aunt Karen

Dearest Aunt Karen,

it does feel good to be back with our pets. It's just in some way like being back to normal. :-)
We miss you guys and we wish that there was more time to come to Chicago to see you...
Love you!
