Only Two Days Left....
... and the house is ours!!! Yes! We are closing on Thursday! Ah, that is so exciting that we can't stop thinking and talking about it.
The dogs are doing better, still kind of sad, missing the rest of the family, but getting more playful by the hour. Cats are fine, especially Adi. Today, when I was leaving the hotel room, accidentally I locked Adi in Bobby's cage... WITH Bobby in it!!! I swear, I didn't see her in there! We have to keep the pets in their crates, but since I couldn't find Adi, I only locked the dogs... You can imagine Adi's look on her face when we returned to the hotel. Pissed! ;-)
So in few more days we will be moving to our new home. Rob is working until Friday late afternoon and we decided to leave the hotel Saturday morning. We will try to move most of the stuff earlier, though. Or, I will, since Rob is busy at work.
I am still, intensively, looking for job. As for now, not much to report. I am calling places, checking different websites and adds in news papers. I also made some friends here and there, and maybe through connections I will be able to find something interesting, and let's hope--well paid.
Last week, day before we left for Quincy, I went to Wal-Mart's optometry where I wanted to refill my contact lenses. Over there I met Kaitlin, who is pretty, super sweet, and funny. She works there. We clicked right away and when I came by today to pick up my contacts, she greeted me like an old friend. Yes--we hugged. Many times. Even with her boss... So tomorrow Kaitlin and I are going to different spa's, where she has appointments, and where I can look for jobs as cosmetologist/esthetician/make-up artist. We will see. It's not exactly what I had in mind, but since I am licensed and have all those diplomas and experience, I can ask for a nice pay. Once I find something, then I can look for that "dream job". Oh, and Kaitlin and I are starting our day with a nice big CAFE LATTE at Starbucks! Yes, I have a girlfriend to have coffee with!!!! Isn't that great!?
Well, that will be enough news for today. I will be posting Quincy pictures as soon as my camera arrives. Since Aunt Jane send me some pictures already, it will be a lot of photos to look at!

I am so glad, though not surprised, you are making new friends. We girls need our friends, and it is especially good to find one that shares passions...even if it is coffee. Good Luck on the job search, but you do have a house to set up and decorated. That is job enough in my opinion.
Aunt Cindy, you are totally right--we need another girl to talk the "girly stuff" right? :-) I am sure Rob is tired of listening about the new fashion or make up! I know I will be very busy with setting up the whole house, plus our shippment should be here soon, but I also NEED a job!
Dear Dave! I wish I could see you in Nashville. Now you will have to come here, to visit us, and I will take you to our local cafe. How about that? :-)
I have my European license, with school done in Denmark. I worked in different countries but never thought I would need a new license, until yesterday. Chester told me about it, and I think I might do it. It will be a good addition to all of the papers I already have. But I am looking at different possibilities, as I really want to have a job that will be more close to translation or something to do with languages... I don't know. I am just too far from big cities and it's hard. The closest city is over an hour away from where we will be living and Rob doesn't want me to have that long of a drive every day.
I can't believe you close on the house tomorrow already! Didn't you tell me that you had bought quite a bit of furniture there already? When will they be delivering it? What all did you buy? Living room/dining room/bedroom?
I wish I was there having coffee with you! (and I really wish I was going to the spa with you!)I miss you.
Aunt Karen
