A Beautiful Day

Today started pretty early for me because of sudden love needs from Billie. This cat always gets what she wants! Through the window I could see that the weather was gorgeous, warm and sunny. I just love mornings here at our new house! Every day, right after I get up, I let the dogs out and it's almost always so sunny that I have to shield my eyes from the brightness of the morning light. I love the fact that I am standing on our back porch, just in my pyjamas, with super messy hair, wearing glasses, and in my flip-flops, and I couldn't care less if anybody does see me, or not! Mostly, there is nobody close enough to our house anyway...

Our wonderful neighbours, Kathryn and Tom, decided to take me for lunch today. They have been watching over me from day one, already spoilled me with great food and wonderful chocolate-chip cookies (yuuum!), helped me with anything I needed, and kept me entertained. I just LOVE them both! I feel like we've always been a family. :-) They are so sweet and loving and I just can't stop hugging them... and their dogs too!

About 11.00 am we went to Sanford, for lunch to an amazing Italian restaurant "La Dolce Vita". It is located in the historical part of town, in an old building, previously known as City Hall. When we entered the restaurant I was in love. It was soooo ME! I just loved the place and knew that the food will be awesome, totally fitting my "European" taste. And I wasn't wrong. Ohhhh.... the food was delicious. We've had two different soups, one with wild rice and mushrooms and the other one with vegetables, served with fresh baked Foccacia; then we had spinach salad with roasted walnuts, tiny nectarines pieces, and feta cheese. Tom had a huge, cheesy sandwich, made of Italian bread. I am extremely happy that a restaurant like this exists right where we live. Thank you Tom and Kathryn! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Now I have a place to go to, and actually enjoy the food! Yeaahh!

It does feel like we are living with our family right next door. I've never experienced that in my life, and I have to say that I enjoy and love every second of it!
