Winter starts in NC--finally!

(Ok, that's NOT our dogs!!! And, unfortuantely, this is not our snow either.)
This morning I woke up to a white view from our bedroom window. Ok, it's not overwhelmingly white, but there is some ice lying on the ground around the trees, on the back porch, and other houses' roofs. I love it. But unfortunately it will be melting soon... My luck--oh well. I hope that soon it will come back, whiter, snowier, and with more power. A girl can dream, right? :-)
Chilli was so funny when I let the dogs outside this morning. Everything was icy and he wouldn't even move. Then he went down the stairs, sliding on his big paws. Bella seemed to love it, but Bobby came back as soon as he was done with his business. I love watching them when they are experiencing something new.
Kathryn called me yesterday about the weather. She wanted to mess with me asking if I had my winter boots prepared. Kathryn and Tom know how MUCH I am wanting white winter! Can you believe that some schools were closed today because of the weather condition??? What weather condition!? Just a little bit ice. Wow! Next winter I am moving to Colorado...
Mom is now in CA, with Jill and the family. Mom will be back next Tuesday. It supposed to get cooler by then, so she will be surprised since we've been having up in the 70's lately.
Ok, I guess when people write, or talk about weather, it means they have nothing to say. Hmmm... Busted? ;-)

I'm so happy you have a little bit of the white winter. We're having it in Southern California too. Unbelieveable. I=5 was closed going north because of the icy conditions. Hunter and I "played" in the snow yesterday. Actually we stood in the snow/sleet/hail for a few minutes and that was enough for him. He only had on a sweatshirt, so it was really cold. (We were waiting at Kayla's school to pick her up.)
POOR Little Snow Bunny. Maybe you can get that big strong loving husband of yours to take you on a ski trip soon...that would mean snow for sure. And don't forget the BIG FAMILY TRIP to Colorado in July...there is ALWAYS SNOW THERE, so you don't need to wait until winter. AND WE have SNOW here and predicting more this weekend..you are always welcome!
I am glad, Mom, that you have so much fun with Hunter and Kayla. Amazing that there is snow in CA... always liked CA. ;-)
Aunt Cindy, I am a poor and needy (for snow) bunny. ha!ha!ha! But even the mountains here have NO SNOW! The ski resorts are loosing money this winter... As for trip to Colorado, I will have to pass on that. We are (or I am) going to Poland for my grandma's 90th birthday. Can't wait!!!!!! :-))))
OH YES, I had forgotten that little snow bunny. YOUR dear grandma probably can't wait to see you too, and I am glad you will get to be with her on her birthday...SO give her a big hug from me, with wishes for many more wonderful years. I hope you have a grand trip. We will all go to Colorado again, so maybe someday you can join us. When do you go to Poland?
It will sometimes in June. My grandma's b-day is June 3rd. So around that time we need to schedule our trip. I can't wait!!! It is first time that I haven't seen her for two years. It feels like ten years though!
