Another Sunny Day

It's hard to believe how fast time goes. Tomorrow is already Friday. It is the day I will find out if I got the job, or not. Urgh! I wish I knew it today! That would spare me another sleepless night.

Yesterday I went to F. Bragg for another interview about the Shiseido job. This time it was with the manager at the store. I think it went really well. We talked for over two hours, and it wasn't only about the job. She has four animals and we had a lot in common because of that. :-) There is another person they were interviewing after me, so I am still not sure who they will chose. I will find out tomorrow from the Shiseido manager, Tracy. So please, keep those fingers crossed for another day, ok?

I don't know if it's the unpacking, or the stress about getting a good job, or maybe running around this huge house, but I lost a lot of weight. Which is fine with me, no complains here. But the difference is so huge that I have barely any more clothes to fit me (another good excuse to go shopping!). My weight is now 127 lbs. (57 kg.) which is less then my regular weight, 132 lbs. And I am not even on a diet! I eat everything, including big amounts of cookies, chocolates, and lately--ice cream. From wearing size 6 or 8, in Okinawa, I am now size 4. I guess living in the US has a good affect on me! :-) When I first came to Okinawa after few years I managed to gain 20 lbs. But since last year's summer, I lost 23 lbs. just by it self.
Well, that's not all--I also shrink!!! Unbelievable! I thought this will happen when I am in my 60's, but not now! I used to always be 5'7 (170 cm), and now when I went to see my doctor, they measured me and it turned out that I am 5'6 and a quarter, (169 cm!) UNBELIVABLE! Maybe I am slowly disappearing????? ;-)

The weather here had been so beautiful. Since we moved in to this area, there had been only two days of rain, and even after the rain stopped, sun came out. It's just gorgeous with all those trees around... Yesterday evening, Kathryn, Tom, and I, ate ice cream on our back porch, where I prepared the table. We sat outside for over two hours, having just the best time together, including Bella and Bobby being allowed to stay with us on the porch. Kathryn and Tom are just spoiling the dogs... I guess we are all lucky to have our "parents" here! :-)
I felt like I was only visiting here, in this beautiful house with that gorgeous view. Sometimes it's hard for me to believe that this is actually OUR house!

Just now, as I was trying to upload some pictures, my phone rang. It was the manager from European Spa calling me about a job interview! I put an application there about a month ago and since I haven't heard from them in weeks, I never thought they will contact me. Well, I have a job interview tomorrow at 11.00 am. I have to keep my options open. :-) But I still want the Shiseido job mostly!

Come on over, Beata, about 6:00 and tell us about your day. We'll have ice cream and strawbrries on our back porch this evening. Quit worrying about that job- they'd be crazy not to hire you!!!

Love,
Kathryn
