I am late, again!
Since I've been so busy lately, I am behind with my postings. I wish I had more time to stay online, like Mom... ;-) Some days I can't even find time to check my emails!
I have so much to tell. Wow, it's been a busy week. Last Friday Mom, Rob and I went for lunch with Tom, Kathryn, and Linda (Tom's sister). They took us to this wonderful restaurant in downtown Sanford, Renauld's. The whole interior reminded me of restaurants in Europe, and immediately I knew I am going to love the food. And I did. We all did! It was soooo good, yummy! But the best of all were the deserts. I had to try it all and made sure to taste every one's dish. Oh, we have to go back to that place--soon! Thank you Tom and Kathryn for this wonderful treat! :-)
But not only the food was good. Linda had an early Christmas present for us, and she gave it to me before we started our lunch. It was a box full of gorgeous tree ornaments! Wow! So beautiful! So detailed! I totally loved it. And we do need more Christmas decoration badly! It was such a great surprise and it set up the Holiday atmosphere right away...
The same evening we went to downtown in Fayetteville to the Gilbert's Theater. My friend, Tina, was acting in "Christmas Carol"play that night and I was super excited to see her performing. I also missed going to the theater for the past five years, so it was an extra joyful event for me. Mom, Rob, and I drove through the downtown in Fayetteville and I couldn't believe that a place like that existed there! It was like taken out of a fairy tale! So old and beautiful! Now I will never say that this town is ugly. People just have to see the less visited parts of this area, and not to stay around the base and the mall. I can't wait to go there during the day time and see it all again. It just needed some snow to be perfect, but I will always need some snow--it's just me! :-)
The "Christmas Carol" was great. Tina played three different characters and she did an awesome job. I was soooo proud of her! It was unbelievable to see my friend on stage, performing. I felt like I wanted to get up and yell some cheers! But I had to resist that... hmmm... I tend to embarrass myself enough in life. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from the teather, but here below are pictures from our lunch at Renauld's and some others. I wasn't, again, able to post all of the pictures, so I will do it tomorrow.

The same day I decorated the house and this beautiful tree that Rob got day before. It was so much fun having this huge and fresh tree in our new home. We do need more stuff to decorate for Christmas, but I am sure that by the next year we will have enough to chose from. :-)
Mom had really been enjoying her furry grand kids, and they take any chance they can to be petted. Billie already found her favorite new spot to take naps, so we had to fill it with presents to prevent her from claiming uner the tree area, as her new property. Later that night Rob put some lights outside and now we are ready for snow! Did I say snow again??? I meant Christmas! ;-)
The next day we had our friends, Steve and Troy, over to play poker. Mom was so excited about playing the game for money, and... she won! Good job, Mom. You did great! (you little gambler!)
Now Mom is in Washington DC and will be back on Saturday. It's kind of quiet without her and we all miss her. Both Rob and are really happy that this Christmas we will spend all together. It's special. I only wish my grandma could be here with us.

Looks like the zoo knows who to go to for attention.
The tree is gorgeous! You house looks so festive. You're all ready for snow now!
Jill, they are smart and they know how to get what they want. Now Mom fell for that trick! ;-)
Aunt Andrea, send me that snow!!! I am definitely ready! The more the better! I am glad that you like our tree and all the decorations. I will still need to clean and add some stuff before Christmas but most of it is almost done.
I'd be glad to send you some snow if you would send me some 70 degree weather!! I hate winter more and more as I get older! Your tree looks so pretty---we're hoping to do ours this coming weekend!
Love the pics. Miss you guys too.
Beata, your tree looks incredible, and that box of ornaments from Linda were beautiful. You are lucky to have friends that are so lovingly giving to you and Rob. I wish I could send you snow too, but you keep your 70 degrees...I LOVE our snow.
Isn't it funny how much our hearts long for our grandma's at the holidays especially? I still miss both mine terribly at Christmas. My Grandma Katie would always come on the bus and she would sleep with me in my room. She always made us 'date loaf' which doesn't sound good, but was our special treat and we all loved it. My Grandma Mary filled my heart all my life. She was EVERYTHING I always wanted to be. I would ask her when I was young, how to skip being a mom and just be a Grandma just like her. She smiled her wise smile and said if I did that I would miss the best part of life...being a mom....She was right of course. I think that is when I knew that is all I ever really wanted out of life. She was THE BEST mom and and even BETTER Grandma. I wish yours could be with you too.
I KNOW the pet trick Beata...SIT down on a couch and most dogs will take right to you!!! Jer should do ok with that one...it will free you up to keep up with your blog
The couch is all that's left. Rob has his chair and Beata has the loveseat.
Beatka,
It looks like you guys had a lovely day with Tom and Kathryn. I also wanted to take a moment to say a special thank you for the beautiful posting about my mom. She absolutely adored you and Rob, and so enjoyed getting to meet you and be one of the first to welcome you to the states. She has always loved the whole Bozarth clan as they gave her Jim and she loved Jim like a son, not a son in law. And she always got a kick out of Rob and loved hearing about everything that he was involved in. I miss her so much it just breaks my heart. My dad is having a particularly tough time with this. We had so may people around during the wake. I was honored that Jer was able to come out. Now is tough when the three of sit at the kitchen table and look at each other. But, she loved you so much, my dear, and I wanted to thank you for the lovely tribute to her on your blog. I love you.
Aunt Karen
