Busy Weekend

It is so great having Rob home. We all just missed him soooo much! :-)
This weekend he is taking care of the backyard, which got invaded by the falling leaves. There is so many that it's hard to see the ground. Instead of snow, we have piles of leaves. Yep--that's my luck. But it does look beautiful.

Today we are going for an early Thanksgiving to Tom and Kathryn's. Their son with his family arrived a few days ago and we all will be celebrating Thanksgiving this afternoon. I have a delicious ham baking in the oven right now, and it will be ready in an hour. Yummy!!! The whole house smells amazingly. I am so getting used to the whole American holiday tradition with great foods and family. LOVE IT!!!

Tomorrow we will be preparing for Mom's arrival. Rob will continue getting rid of the leaves outside and I will be cleaning the house. I want Mom's room to look as inviting and cozy as possible. I already started recording her favorite shows, so she doesn't miss any. Both Rob and I are sooooo excited to finally see Mom, and in our own and new house.

it sure LOOKS like Rob is being a "big help"!! Maybe you should take some pictures of him doing some raking/mowing/mulching. Cody and I took care of our leaves this week too, then went to Kris's to do some of hers....NOW tell Rob, enough resting,(chilli too) time to work....he had a 5 week break from helping around the house, and it is not quite his birthday yet!

Hello Aunt Cindy! Rob actually did help--I have some good pictures to prove it! ha!ha!ha! I will post it later.
Hello Kellie, how are you sweetie? Rob's b-day is on the 14th Nov. so that will be this Tuesday. Finally he will be my age! Enough with teasing me. ;-) Kellie, I totally agree with you. I would never want to go back to my 20's. I love the age I am now. Whenever you talk to Dan, give him our love.
Mom, why is it taking you so long???? Hurry up! We can't wait! :-)
