Breaking News with... Beata Dufresne :-)

I wanted to wait a little longer, but I decided to tell you guys now. I just can't wait anymore. Remember that day when I met Norm, the movie/commercial producer, at the Coty store? Well, I still am in that commercial, which now will be viewed at Coty's international website, but there is more to it.

Few days later, when I went to meet Norm at his studio, he already had a plan. But that's why I didn't wanted to write anything about because it was all too sudden. Norm is shooting an hour and a half movie for the Hilton Hotel in Pinehurst, and want me to work with him. I am going to have MY OWN SHOW, half hour long, about fashion, style, galleries, and jewelry. I am not lying. Seriously. That is true! After I picked my jaw from the floor, I agreed to take the job. Norm already started shooting the movie with the hotel and restaurants, but I still have to go and get contracts from local stores and galleries. The name of my show will be "Life'n'Style with Bea". Since I have a full time job at the spa, I wasn't able to do it yet, plus we haven't really discussed the whole thing. Last Tuesday I did help Norm to create his demo movie, which was send to Miami hotels the next day. After working for sixs hours the five minutes movie was ready. It turned out really good. Norm used a lot of my ideas, which was a big surprise to me. But both of us just loved it.

Last night, when I came home, I had something nice waiting for me in my Yahoo mail. It was a contract between American Lifestyle Media and Beata Dufresne. Even though it was late, I had to call Rob! :-) I was so excited that I had trouble with following asleep. Working with Norm is more than I could ask for. It's an amazingly exciting job, full of opportunities, never the same, full of creativity, and soooo ME! Wow! I really live the American Dream! :-))) Oh, and by the way: Today I got my own office and my own keys to the studio! So from today, I am officialy a media contractor.

Beside having my own show, I will still be doing all other commercial work with Norm. Ok, now I need to go and get myself a cold shower and probably something else to calm me down... ;-)

Oh, I almost forgot. Last weekend, both Rob and I met Norm and his wife, Nancy, while Norm was shooting for the hotel. Nancy is sweet, smart and as friendly as Norm and we all felt very comfortable with each other. It's like we all have known each other for years...

WoW...How cool are YOU!!! Congratulations, and best of luck in your new big adventure. It does sound VERY much like "you", and Norm was smart to snap you up! Now go out and become a STAR, and don't forget who your favorite aunt is!!! Love you. (give Rob a kiss for me--we missed you guys at the wedding)

Jane, I'll try to talk them into Christmas in Quincy. With three drivers the 18 hours should be a lot easier.

I wish we could go and visit ALL of you! But with Rob's work, my work, and of course all the costs for travelling, it's just not going to happen soon. We will probably have to spend Christmas in our new house, but if any of you want us for the Holidays, just come over! There plenty of space for family and friends. :-)

Kelly, You will be the first blonde I will call!!! Love you! :-)

Yep, that's my girl. She's going to be supporting us, and that'll be just fine by me. I'm so excited for her too!

Norm and Nancy are both very nice, and I look forward to getting to know both of them much better in the future. We've been really fortunate ever since we got here--from Tom and Cathy to our jobs to that little damn dachsund.

Life is truly an adventure with Beata. You never know what new bit of excitement is around the corner. I'm a lucky, lucky man.

I love you, honey.

We hope to see you all soon, but we don't know just how soon that might be. Moving to the other side of the planet requires some recovery time. We probably won't be able to take any trips until next year some time.

Hello Aunt Karen, YOu are so sweet! I am not a star, yet, and I probably never be. But I love that job soooo much. It's exciting and brings new stuff every day.
