Sunny Sunday
It's been a very interesting week for us. Finally we experienced the tropical storm in the US. It's wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. But then, we are so used to cathegory 5 typhoons on Okinawa. The rain wasn't as heavy as it was announced by the weather channel, and there was almost no flooding around our area, although some some of my friends in Fayetteville got about an inch of water in their homes. Rob bought all the important things like lamps, candles, water and dry food, to prepare us for the worse, just in case.
We lost power twice, on two different days. Friday night and morning the power was gone and I couldn't go to work (Yeeeaaahhhh!!! :-)) Well, I had the perfect excuse, right? Most schools were even closed on that day. Later on Friday, we drove around to see how much damage there was, but everything looked mostly pretty normal. Our back yard got totally trashed by the huge tree branches and leaves, so yesterday Rob spend hours on cleaning it all up.
We had a surprise guest last night. Johnny B, our friend from Okinawa, came to visit us. It was just soooo good to see him!!! :-) He was visiting his mom and the rest of his family in Fayetteville. We do miss our friends from Okinawa, but fortunately, we have been lucky enough to see some of them already in our new house. Rob and Johnny stayed up late, and I went to bed around 11.00 pm. It was a long day for me, since I was extremely busy at work.
Today we will probably take care of some more boxes and just enjoy the day off. Tomorrow back to work... (just me.)

I'm glad the storm wasn't too bad. And what a nice surprise that Johnny visited. Mom
We are pretty much safe, where we are! :-) Johnny's visit was awesome, but unfortunately we didn't get to meet his mom...
