Right time, right place
I am finally enjoying my three days weekend off! Wow, it feels good. :-) I am definitely catching up on sleep. Both Rob and I needed it badly.
Lately, the weather had been just GORGEOUS. It's still sunny, but much cooler, especially early mornings. We loooove it! I can't wait for winter to come, and to buy a pair of boots (first time after five years!)
Yesterday something interesting happened. I went to Sanford with Tom and Kathryn, for lunch and shopping at the Coty's factory. Lunch was great, at their favorite Italian restaurant. I ate so much that I could barely move. :-)
Then we went (it was my first time) to Coty's store by the factory. I had no idea that there will be so many other, high-end brands, together with the regular Coty perfumes, body care, and make-up. I felt like a kid in the candy store! Both Kathryn and Tom were laughing at me. And the prices! Wow! Everything was already marked down, but we still got 25% off at the check out. Well, that's not exactly what I wanted to write about, but I thought I will mention it. As we walked in, we noticed a man with a tripod and professional camera, filming the cashier. I didn't paid much attention to what they were doing because I was overwhelmed with all the goodies surrounding me. But after a few minutes I was asked by this man if he could film me for Coty's 25th anniversary documentary/commercial. I agreed right away and he filmed about 2-3 minutes of me testing perfumes and just looking around. (If I only knew what was going to happen that day, I would have wore different clothes and at least fixed my hair!!!!) This movie, made by this man, is going to be shown in Spain sometimes this year. It was so much fun, but there was more to come. Few minutes after we were done, he asked me if I wouldn't mind to put my voice into this commercial!!!!! He said he would pay me for doing it, and it will take about half hour top. He had the text written, but would love if my voice (and my accent) was used for it instead of his own, since this is going to Europe. So I am going to do it on Tuesday! How cool is that??????? This man, his name is Norm, just moved back to NC from Los Angeles where he used to film commercials and shows. I am really excited because he is working here with the television and some record companies, and he is going to need a make-up artist!!!! :-))))))
Ok, that's my big news. Now I am going to take a cold shower--again.
