Early Thanksgiving
Ten days ago, we had an early Thanksgiving/Tom's birthday/Rob's birthday, at Tom's and Kathryn's. Their family came for visit and it was a perfect time to celebrate those occasions. I have more pictures than the ones posted, but my blogger wouldn't allow me to upload any more. I really wish to get all of the pictures from that night in here since they are so great.
We've had an awesome dinner with Jeff and Jen, their two daughters, Allyson and baby Kiersten, and of course Linda and Judy. There was so much delicious food, different dishes made by especially for Thanksgiving, that I really don't mind having to celebrate this holiday again in two days. Yum!
Rob and Tom shared a birthday cake and blew candles together. Allyson was helping--she is so adorable! It was such a wonderful evening, and our first (well, mine) Thanksgiving in the US. This really is the best time of the year, all the way to the New Year's Eve. I am such a Christmas lover!!! Can't wait! Too bad we will not (probably, and most likely) have any snow...
Today Mom and I are making list of all the dishes we are going to cook for Thursday. We will also drive to Fort Bragg and shop at the Commissary. This way we will get everything we need in one place, and Mom will have a chance to see the base. I am really happy that this year I will have someone to help me with cooking and all other kitchen tasks. Mom rocks! :-) We are expecting a lot of people, kids, and animals, to attent Thanksgiving at the Dufresne's house. Some of our friends are coming with their children, and our friend, Steve, is bringing his two dogs. I need Valium, lots of it. (Ok, just kidding!)

Funny that we wrote about the same thing. :) The pictures are great. Now we'll have to make sure we have some good ones for Thanksgiving Day, and also some of me winning at poker.
Did Rob get a haircut??? Looks like tons of fun at Kathyrn and Tom's, and the food looks really good. I am SO looking forward to going to my family's on Thursday. Even Joe was amazed at the food the first few times we went to a Wegs' holiday. My grandma was an AMAZING cook, and we all miss her greatly, but never more than the holidays. We all still carry on, but no one can seem to duplicate her noodles though everything else is pretty close. So enjoy your second round of Thanksgiving Dinner, and be thankful to be in the company of good friends and family(jer) this year.
Mom, I am sure that we will have moments for the next few months when we will be writing about the same stuff if we don't consult before hand. :-)
Aunt Cindy, Rob always get a haircut each week. I love his short hair as much as when he looks totally like a jungle man! ha!ha!ha! Mom and I are already preparing for Thanksgiving cooking. It turned out though, that we might not have that many guest after all. (The other dogs are still coming!)
