Mom, Rob's birthday, and everything else

Finally I found time to post. Well, actually Mom forced me to do it. Yep--she is the boss here now. Ok, not really. ;-) But we sure are happy to have her with us. It is so great to be together, even the zoo is enjoying the fact that grandma came to stay with us. I am so happy that now I have someone to share morning's coffee with, the same shows, and being on the computer at the same time. Our dinner table has been transformed to my and Mom's little office. It's big enough to fit our laptops, drinks and snacks. I just love it!

Yesterday, Rob and Mom worked on improving her room, and also our office, which used to be the "cat room". Now both rooms are looking awesome! I feel like I want to move into Mom's room any minute now. It's so pretty and cozy. And she had the DVR installed, so it makes it even more complete. Yes, we all have been very busy lately. I just hope that Mom finds a good job/man/apartment, close to us and decided to stay in NC. We are still trying to convince her...

Rob had to work on his birthday, but we did surprised him in the evening with presents, a nice dinner, and a cake. Well, me and Mom ate the cake. Ok, I ate the cake. Rob said he didn't want it, and Mom decided that it was time to stop with all the good stuff and go back to healthy foods. Now I am stuck with a delicious caramel birthday cake. Or half of it. Did that sound like a complain? ;-)

I took Mom for little sightseeing around Sanford and she seemed to like the area. There is just no time to go anywhere because of our jobs. But next week I am taking Mom to Fayetteville and Fort Bragg. Not that this is such a great attraction and a touristic remarkable place to see, but it will be interesting for Mom to see where her little boy works. Yep--she still calls him that.
Soon, I will take some more pictures of Mom and post in my next update .

Beata said, "Okay, mom, I posted," so here I am to respond. :)

Beatka, you and Rob are both so sweet and welcoming to me. I just love being here with you. If we could only move your house to Quincy (and move our LA family to Quincy), I'd be the happiest Mom in the world.

Does it make you jealous that your dogs love me so much? And one of your cats too?

Love you.
