Some more stuff from Okinawa (continuing with catching up)

Here are some pictures from our hotel in Okinawa, where we stayed for about five days before leaving for good. It was a great little apartment, we loved it. It got pretty crowded after few days, since we had all those packages to mail. And of course all of the other stuff--Rob's stuff. I just always blame the mess on him. Or Bobby...

Since we were so busy the last few days before departing Okinawa, we didn't have much time to enjoy this little, cute apartment. The dogs were in the kennel, so were the cats. Now we only had to take care of the "big move", which went pretty well--easier than we thought it would. Two huge trucks, and six Japanese movers came early in the morning and took care of everything. They worked so fast that in almost an hour everything was wrapped. Of course it took longer than that to secure everything, make the inventory, load onto the trucks and sealed. They were working fast and very precise; we were really impressed. I think everything was done by late afternoon. It felt good but also weird at the same time. All of our stuff was gone and the apartement was empty--exactly like when we moved in the first time. Now it was time to start a new life somewhere else. Again. :-)

Here I am with our nice next-door neighbor.

It's going to be two months before our house-hold arrives in NC. Hopefully we will have a house by then. There were so many things that we needed right away so that's why we had to mail it. 15 packages. Yep. And yes, it was all insured and expensive. But all of those packages are already here, in Fayetteville, at Rob's friend's house and we will be picking it all up tonight.

I will be updating as much as I can, so make sure that you've read all what's below this posting. I don't want you guys to miss anything! :-)
So take a look at my previous update under this one...

Hi Beata,

It has been such fun reading about everything that has happened the last few weeks! What a lot you have done! I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. Take care of yourself and get some sleep. By the way, I loved the painting that you gave to your friend before you left.

Love,
Aunt Karen

So glad you are back and 'catching up' with your blog. Your pictures really make it a reality for the rest of us, it's like we are moving right along with you. Such an adventure. Uncle Joe said it is good to hear all that postal priority mail has arrived already. (go USPS) NOW hopefully it is all in one piece! Please Keep Posting (as you feel like it) and I hope you are feeling better soon.

Aunt Cindy! It was a very stressful move, and there was much more to it than I am able to show or describe. We are so happy it's all over... Now on to the new stuff!
