Something Different
In between of packing, cleaning the kitchen cabinets, separating all kinds of stuff, throwing tons of things away, and trying still to have a nice Sunday, I found a little time to make this little posting :-)
Our military furniture and all of the appliances, like fridge, washer, dryer, and stove, are going to be picked up next Friday. So actually about three days, without possibility to cook, we will be living on junk food! Ahhh! How am I going to survive!? (Just kidding... Japanese junk food is pretty healthy). The following Monday all of our personal things, like clothes, kitchen stuff, furniture, all of the electronics, and everything else, will be picked up and shipped to the States. It will take two months before it will reach Fayetteville. I hope we would have a house by then. Our own house! We are just so excited that we are buying our own home. Wow! There will be plenty of room for our guests to come for visit. :-) So, go ahead and start booking rooms, people!
I've made reservations for the pets at the local animal kennel. That's what people usually do before they move the island. I got space for the dogs from the 12th to the 18th, but not for the kitties. They only had time available from the 14th. So those two days we will have to put them somewhere. We are going to be staying by then in a temporary housing and pets are not allowed. I am stressed about the whole thing, but trying to stay calm. URGH! I want this to be over soon! It will be a while before we will sleep in our own bed...
On Monday we should have the tickets. Please, cross your fingers that the travel agency was able to find some seats for us and the pets, on a plane to Chicago. Otherwise it will all be totally messed up. We will have to consider other options, not as convenient, to get to the US. With the pets. Again--URGH!
Anyway, I can't wait to finally be on the plane. And... I can't wait to meet my new family!!!
Here is something to bring a smile on your face.

This is me, a guess a month old... and my mom.

And that's little Robbie (nice hair cut, Honey!)

Here is Beatka, 5 years old, at the kindergarten.

We always knew that we were meant to be together, that there was another half, right on the other side of the world. And we've found each other. :-)

Yes, you're my better half, honey. I'm so lucky and honored to be your husband. Thank you for writing the post, putting up the pictures, and putting up with me through this move. It's all going to be so worth it.
Can't wait to find a house and start a new chapter in our lives together.
I love you.
ok... you two offically suck! I actually teared up on that last posting!! DANGIT!!!!
Seeing you two together really is a living testament to the fact that Love DOES exist.
For the record... I am reserving a room with an open report date! :)

Tell the Army that if the tickets don't go to Chicago, they're going to have to deal with me.
Scary proposition.
Gosh, I was skinny.
J.B., we love you. Tears are fine; real men can do whatever the hell they want to. Even "sweat" from the eyeballs. Thanks for the touching remarks. Of course you always have an open reservation. Any time, always.
Mom, the reservations are confirmed. The 18th, it is.
Back to J.B.--Where did I see a comment from you saying you weren't going to be around? Where are you going? Do I already know about this? My mind has been crammed full of clearing appointments and PCS preparation crap. What's up????
Mom again--you're not skinny anymore? What the- I leave the U.S. for eight short years, and everything changes. What the heck's going on?
Johnnie, I am so glad that you liked the posting and our cute pictures. :-) We will miss you like crazy, too! And the room IS already reserved for you sweetie!
Mom, we will see you in only 11 days!!!!
