Catching up after the holidays
It took me awhile to recover from my bad cold, and after that I had 2-days migraine, and after that something else came up. So first now I have a chance to post about our Christmas and New Year's Eve.
On the Christmas Eve we went to visit our friends, John and Tina. Tina's parents were visiting from WA. I totally loved her mom! She was so funny and sweet, and such a warm person. We became best buddies right away. :-) Tina also invited two other couples, and they brought their kids. It was so much fun. The food was awesome and the company was even better! Tina and John came up with the idea of giving each other elephant gifts, something ridiculous and funny. So we all did. We all laughed so hard when we opened each of our gifts. The best got Rob: vagina itching creams, anti redness salve, intimate deodorant, and preparation h. He took it pretty well, but promised to take it all to work and give as Christmas gifts to the guys.
We came home pretty late, around 10.30pm, since it's kind of a long drive. Than the party really started! We couldn't wait to open OUR presents!!! And there were many... hmmmm.... Gorgeous presents! Awesome stuff, for us, and for the pets! :-)
The next day, Christmas day, we went next door to have lunch/dinner with Tom and Kathryn. I was so happy that we were able to spend that day together, since we've always done since we moved here, and it feels good to be together with the family on that special day. They also invited their neighbours, Tom and Addie, older couple who live on our street. They were so sweet and fun! I was in heaven! Kathryn cooked an awesome meal, as usually, and we ate way too much. I had three different desserts. Oh, well, it's Christmas, right?
Rob already had started having a cold before Christmas, and I got it the day after Christmas. On that day, me, Tina, and her mom, Angie, we all went to the mall in Raleigh. Just a little girls day out. OMG, it was so awesome!!! We first went to Starbucks, than had lunch at Cheesecake Factory (one of my very favorite places), and than we started shopping. We didn't but that much, but we definitely had enjoyed our day together. After we were done, late, late in the evening, we went back to Starbucks. What a perfect ending of this wonderful day. When I came back home, I got sick for real.
For the new Year's Eve we went to some of Rob's friends house. I don't want to even write much about it, but it might have been the worse New Year's Eve ever. It sucked. No music, no food (even though I asked what to bring), super boring people and not many of them, sitting a lot, no champagne, no fireworks. I drank only water, because it was so sucky. Little bit after midnight, I asked Rob if we could leave. So we did. He did have a good time, but I told him how I felt about it. Now I am just laughing about it! ;-)
Ok, now it's time for pictures!!! Enjoy it!
(no pics were taken at the New Year's Eve...)
Tina and John, and Tina's mom...
Ryan got thongs and a ball scratcher!

Glad to see you had some time to post. It is always nice to see an update from you. Glad to see you are feeling a little better now since the holiday. Take care.
Hope you continue to feel okay. Love you both. Mom
you sound like you were VERY busy all through the holidays...though sorry to hear your New Years Eve was a flop. That happens sometimes...but NO FOOD at a party is NO party to me either!!
I hope Joe and I look JUST like Kathryn and Tom when we get older...So Classy. (though I don't think Uncle Joe will grow that tall in the years he has left) OH, and you and Rob are beautiful as always.
