No Time Off
Just a little update... If anybody wonders, I worked on the 4th of July, so no much celebration for me. Rob went to visit Linda with Tom and Kathryn and they had an awesome meal and enjoyed the day together. I was happy for Rob and the rest, even though I wished to be there. Linda made wonderful dinner and packed it all for me too! It was such a nice surprise when I came home that evening.
I'm working all the time, today my DM is visiting. I have hired my 1st. assistant, and she will be starting her training this week. My other pt. manager is going on vacation for three days, so I will have to be at work from opening til closing. In addition to that, we are starting renovation at the store, and somebody (a manager) has to be there every day in the morning around 7-8am, to open the door for the workers, and stay until midnight til they leave. So since I will be working those days when my pt manager is on vacation, I will have to be there from 8.00am til midnight. It is going to be a tough week.
Last Sunday we went to see our friends, Steve and Liz. It was very nice. Liz made the Thai beef salad, almost authentic! It was delicious! HOT and tasty! I miss cooking Thai, but there is not much cooking going on in our kitchen lately. Rob has even been doing the dishes, and other stuff around the house. I'm just coming and going. Soon it should get better... I just need a full staff and every single person well trained.

Best wishes for the busy week ahead sis. I am glad to see that yuo did post that you had at least a day off to visit with friends. The food looked so good and yummy. Take care of yourself during your busy time and rest up when you can. Chat later.

Can't believe you posted. This is great. And I'm so sorry you are always working. Guess that's why I can only talk to Rob when I call. Sure do miss you. Love, Mom
Hope your job eases up some soon...but that is the pitfalls of being in the management role.Hard work does always pay off in the end! So you glad you did post with some news...always love hearing from you guys!
