my first car accident

Friday night, I drove home from work and while stopping at the red light, got hot hit really hard in the back by a car that didn't even slowed down. Geez, I really hit my head hard and was so surprised that this just had happened. My cars bumper was buried in the front of his van, so he had a huge hole in his car, but nothing happened to my car. The guy wasn't speaking English, he was drunk, and he left. But I memorized his plate numbers as he was leaving. Rob and I went to the hospital, after talking to the police. At the hospital they check me, since I was hurt all over my back, my neck, and my head. I had xrays and CT scan done. Everything was fine, exceot my neck that had some muscles injuries. I got some medicine and at 3.00am we finally came home.

I called in sick Saturday, since I could barely move out of bed, plus I was drugged. Today I feel better, so everything is ok. I hope the police found the guy.

I didn't want to blog about this. Wanted you or Rob to be able to tell the story. I'm so glad you are feeling better today. I was sure worried about you. Take care of yourself. Love, Mom

Thank you, mom. I know that when you called that morning, you had problems with understanding me! That was so funny, but I was so drugged! I do feel good now, just the neck still hurts, that's all.

Wow, I hope the police get the guy too!! What a jerk to hit you and leave like that. Good for you for thinking to memorize his plates. I"m glad you are feeling better and didn't get hurt worse than you did. Take care!

So sorry, Beata. I'm glad you are not in worse shape, but take good care of yourself. Sometimes the pain can be worse a couple of days after an accident like this.

Sweetie, I'm happy you are able to go back to work. Listen to your body though, and take it as easy as necessary. Love you.

Cant believe his car was able to drive away...smart on your part to get that license plate. I am sure you will be sore for many days-just so thankful there were no injuries.

how awful. I can't imagine how you gathered enough sense to think to get the plate #. I am NOT good in crisis, and if someone hit my car, I wouldn't be able to think straight. I am glad your car was not damaged badly, and happier still that you were not severely injured. Jer is right though, let your body tell you what activities you are ready for. Scary stuff. Take care of yourself, and I hope the police find this guy and throw the book at him.

I am glad you weren't hurt worse! It was fast thinking to get their license number - I think I would have panicked. You were smart to stay calm and get the number. Take it easy Sweetie! Aunt Andrea
