After Christmas
I can't believe that Christmas is over. It was so great having mom over, made our holidays even better. I have tons of pictures to post, but right now I am not feeling up for it. I just read the news about assisination of Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan's former Prime Minister, and I am still in shock. She was the first woman in the Middle East to be elected as a Prime Minister. Such great role model to everybody, beautiful, intelligent, and how brave. I've always admired her, since my teen years. I have tears in my eyes and I better finish here. I will post later about Christmas and mom's visit.

I heard the news of Prime Minister Bhutto this morning, and like you was shocked and dismayed that such an important figure in the world is gone. She moved mountains in her life and was so dedicated to the people of her country and democracy. She leaves large shoes that may never be filled. The world is in such a sad state and hopefully humanity will wake up and try to start things moving in more positive directions soon. We can only pray.
I totally agree, and still can't believe of what happened. Things are going to take time to get better over there.
