A lot of stuff...

I guess it's time to post since mom is arriving tomorrow. :-) Than I will have even more to write about. Well, it's been busy at work, but not as much as we expected. Rob's fire department had a Christmas party and we went to a restaurant for a great (and big!) dinner. I got to meet the guys he works with, and it turned out that some of the wives know me from the store. It was a very pleasant and fun evening. Last Sunday I had a Christmas party for the girls from my work. I did it at our house, cooked huge dinner for everyone, including home-made pumpkin pies. Yummmm! They girls came with their husbands/boyfriends and we really had a blast. There was a lot of food, laughter, and presents (just the girls.) Everybody really dressed up nicely and looked beautifully.

There is something else I need to write about, because if I don't do it, mom will. Last Saturday, the day before my Christmas party, Rob brought home two rescued kittens. Yes, it was him this time--not me. Well, at the party we were hoping that someone would adopt them. My friend, Shannon, and her husband fell in love with one of them right on the spot. They took her home the same night. The other kitty, my favorite, stayed. I have to tell you more about her. She is six weeks old, a beautiful black and white girl, with lots of silky hair. She LOVES Bobby, who totally ador her, and they the best buddies ever. Chilli is playing with the kitty like there was no tomorrow, and Billie the Cat just warmed up to the new kitty and now plays and eat with her like they've always been together. The kitty also chose to sleep right by Rob's side, on the chair, with Chilli on top of her. I mean, she is just PURRRFECT!!! So, one of the girls from the party wants the kitty, but she still needs permission from her dad. So that's uncertain. Rob said today that we would keep the kitty since she makes Bobby so happy (at all time), and gets along with others, but she has claws and that's a problem. I called my vet clinic, and they said that the cat has to be at least 4-5 months old to be de-clawed. I have been clipping her nails and filing them, so she doesn't scratch the dogs while playing. We are thinking of keeping her (well, you all know me, and what I think, but it's Rob who is still thinking...), but I would really have to keep up with taking care of her nails and all that. So please, keep your fingers crossed for me!!! :-)

That picture of the kitty with Bobby is absolutely perfect. You better keep the kitten. Adi would approve. Can't wait to meet the newest member of the family.

KEEP KITTY.....I LOVE HER. How can you tell Bobby he can't have a pet, when you AND Rob have so many? That would NOT be fair to Bobby at all.

Kelly, if I only knew! There were two of them and I could have kept kitty's sister for you! But now she is already with another family. I will tell Rob about your comment. He is doing good with keeping himslef from dipping.
Aunt Cindy, you are totally right! It's so unfair to Bobby! WE need to be equal here, right? ;-)
