Changes

Here are some more pictures from Krakow. On one of the pictures you can see the best pancakes (Polish style), and the best cheesecake in the world! Yuummm! I miss the food so badly!

We got a new store manager. I didn't get the job, but the position is promised to me when this new manager quits, it gets transferred. She is coming here from another district and the company was obligated to give it to her. I am not that sad about it. The store really needed another manager, and my girls needed a rest. I am, myself, running low on energy at this moment. 10-11 hours at work, every day, is not that easy. Sick, or not, still going to work. And my team did so great with supporting me and keeping this whole place running high with numbers and being in great shape. I am so proud of all my girls, and I have to say that I love them all.

Yesterday, it was the new manager's first day. I stayed late at work, since now I have to train her in certain subjects. Today I was so excited to finally have a day off, first after 10 days, but... I have to do some paper work at home and later on, go to work to go through this stuff with her. She is definitely different from me. I am trying to convince my girls to give her some time. They are all disappointed that I didn't get the job. I am not really that sad. I know my next step is a store manager position, and I consider this as a great and quick move in my career. The district manager told me how proud and happy the upper management was for the fabulous job I did. That was enough pay for me, just to hear those words. It really made my day! :-)

Ok, I better get my stuff done and run to the store. Enjoy the other part of my vacation pictures.

Oh Beata...I am so sorry you were not moved into the manager postition as you should have been, but look at the bright side...this new manager will have so BIG SHOES to fill if she is going to do HALF as good a job as you did!!! PLUS you should have more time off now too, and dear, it sounds like you could use some rest. I am glad you love your job and I respect anyone that gives their VERY best to their employer, and in time that manager spot will be yours. Thanks for posting more pictures from your trip...It feels so "old world" to me...as it should be I suppose....This food looks INCREDIBLE....

Honey, I'm so sorry you didn't get the job now, but happy that it's in your future. You have a wonderful attitude about it. Now take some time off and be with your hubby. (Maybe this means you can come visit me sometime.) Love, Mom

Hey guys! I am really not that dissapointed about the position. I thought this might happen, since I knew about that girl being transfered from another store. I am patient and I will learn from her, stuff that I don't know, and I know that if I stayed with this company my future looks pretty good. About the days off.... hmmm... on my first day off I had to go to work. The next day off will be Sunday, so I am fully going to enjoy it. There is no way I can get more than just one day at a time off. Sorry mom, I am not sure when we will be able to come and visit you. But we really want to!!!! :-) Love yawl.
