Vacation
Today I am leaving for Poland! And I actually got to sleep until 8.00 this morning. I haven't packed yet. I am soooo not ready, and my friend is coming to pick me up around 2.00pm and take me to the airport. Rob is really busy at work today and couldn't get out in time for my flight. I am getting kind of stressed, since there is still so much to do.
The past two weeks I have been the temporarily store manager and haven't had a day off yet. We are short in stuff, and I have been pulling double shifts, with one day working until 12.30am because of the inventory. I swear that I could fall asleep just standing, anytime. But I didn't mind. I really do care about this place and want everything to be taken care of. Yesterday my boss, the district manager, came over and stayed to interview all of the associates, and at the end, me. She was very pleased and said all good things about how well I ran this place by myself. But... there is a woman who recently moved to NC from Giorgia, and who used to be there Maurices store manager. The company promised to transfer her to any open position that's close to her location, and it happened to be our store at the moment!!!!!! Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The DM told me that they are obligated to make her an offer, and if she takes it, she will be the new store manager. If not, well, the position is still open for me. At least I know somehting before I leave on my trip. All of the girls at work has been so great and very supportive. They all want me to be the store manager since we have been working so well together and they like the way things are under my management. Everything is organized and going smoothly. No drama either! (not anymore!)
Well, I better go packing. I am already missing Rob, and the doggies. I didn't see my sweet husband much for the past two weeks and neither last night. He left for work before I woke up... :-( But I will be back in ten days. :-)
Ok, I will try to keep you updating during my trip. Love to you all!!!

Have a wonderful trip and (why do I even have to say it?) take plenty of photos.
Love,
DF
That's hilarious, Dave. I miss you so much already, honey. Have a great trip and say hello to everyone for me.
Love you,
Rob
Too late for me to tell you this before you leave, but have a great time. Can't wait to see photos and read updates.
And isn't it funny that Rob said, "That's hilarious, Dave. I miss you so much already...."
Why is that hilarious, Jer? I can't blame Rob for missing me desperately.
Okay, you got me there, DF.
I hope you have a wonderful time! I would love to see pictures of Poland as I never travel anywhere. (I don't like to travel, too dangerous, I'm old) I bet you're having a fabulous time!
Sorry we missed you but we had a great time with Rob, your home is beautiful and we felt so comfortable, I love your guest room, it by far got the highest evaluation in our travels, I wanted to buy something for your home but could not see anything you needed since you have decorated so beautifully, hope you are having a great time, it was nice to hear your voice on the computer when we were there
Are you back? I've missed you.
I am back and will post some tonight or tomorrow! :-) I went back to work the day after my trip, so not much time to even unpack. Thank you for all the nice and funny comments! Dave, Rob, is there something I should know???? ;-)
Yay! You're home.
