BIG News!
Finally I found time to post. I have been working this whole week 10 hours long shifts, and just been dead tired by the time I got home. I have great news to tell you all, but haven't had time to even write about it.
So here it is: last Sunday I got promoted!!!!!!! I am now the first assistant manager, right after the store manager. It was unclear if I would be promoted one position up, which would have been part-time manager, or the first assistant manager, so I was waiting with the news until I find out for sure. Well, I jumped over one position and got promoted for the higher one! I am so excited and just happy--so is Rob. There were two other people wanting this position, and they have already worked at the store for almost a year, but they got denied. Last week both of them were my bosses, and now I am their boss. Everything has been going great since I started with my new position. I LOVE working and maybe have been driving myself too hard and taking too many hours, but I just don't see it being done differently. So yes, my feet hurt, my brain feel scrambled, and my whole body aches, but I am really happy. If I could, I would fly! :-)
Rob and I haven't yet had time to celebrate, so tomorrow night, after my work, we are going to have a nice dinner in town. My friend, Ashley, and her husband are going to join us and I just can't wait to have some fun. I have to take an advantage of every time off since I will be working much more now. Poor doggies has been spending more hours in their cages lately. But they will get used to it (again).

Congrats. We are very proud of you. There was no doubt in my mind that you would get it. I am convinced that hard work and good attitude makes a manager or at least a good manager. Have fun celebrating. Love you both.

I'm so proud of and happy for Beata. She's a true leader with an inexhaustible work ethic. Any company would be lucky to get her, but I'm glad she's working someplace she likes.
What she didn't tell you is that she has put up record-setting sales numbers in just two months and, as a result, ended up getting the highest raise possible to match her double promotion. She's smart, driven, and loves being the boss. By this time next year, I expect her to be running the galaxy.
Seriously, though, she's a much better manager than I'd be. I'd probably be fired by now for making people cry. Beata's uses this thing they call tact. What will she think of next?

And really I would buy an bucket of sand in the desert from you once you turned on that 100 watt smile of your....of course you had record-setting sales!!! Congrats Beata!! That is such awesome news!! And I'm excited that you have a job that you love so much. I can see how you would be a great salesperson with your sparkling personality and your great tact, as Rob put it. Plus you are so darn adorable!! I hope those other two girls aren't too mad that they didn't get it---guess they should have worked harder!! :)
