THREE years ago...

... on this day, I got my Green Card. Yep--it's been already THREE years, although it feels longer than that. So today, the 15th of March, I can finally apply for my US citizenship!!! Wow. The downside is that when I checked the official website with all the information, it shows that Poland no longer accepts dual citizenship!!! They did just three years ago... I am now confused because I did planned to keep my Polish citizenship. I am still going to do it. It just feels right. When I lived in Denmark for 12 years, I didn't feel like changing my citizenship, although it would have been very beneficial for me. This time, I am going to do it! After all, my husband and my family is American. :-) It will take a few years before I get it, I think, but at least we will start the whole process now.

So, Mom, what are you going to call me now??? Polmark will not work anymore!!! ha!ha!ha! (just kidding!) ;-)

yes, YOUR family are true blood Americans, and I am sure we are all damn proud of that. YOU on the other hand can now CHOOSE to be an American citizen. Quite a gift to yourself!!! However, even if Poland does not 'recognize' dual citizenship, they can NEVER take the fact that you are Polish born, and proud to be, away from you. I know in your heart you can love both countries because they represent who you were, and are, and what you will become! What a magical day for you!!

What a wonderful gift this family got when we got you.

I am so proud of you and your new job. They are lucky to have you and would be even luckier to promote you. Now if I could just find a job I would be delighted.

Happy Anniversary, late, to you and Rob. Tell him Hi. I love you both.
